Stockholm Burlesque Festival
10-11 oktober arrangerar Felicia och John, återigen, Stockholm Burlesque Festival. Vi tar våra djur och skolböcker och flyttar till Fridhemsplans hela helgen, och 3 artister kommer och bor i vår lägenhet. Jag ritade en logga till eventet:
(ja, den liknar min alleycat-logga, men det var för att hon gillade den så mycket som hon ville ha en liknande!)
Det roligaste är förstås att allas vår Nicklas ska stå på scenen (!) på lördagen och vara med i tävlingen "Octbooberfest", en tävling i den nobla konsten "tassel twirling", att snurra på brösttoffsar. Vi får se om några kommer och kollar, jag inser att jag är lite sent ute att bjuda in folk...

Fräulein Frauke and John Paul Bichard Proudly Presents the 4th International Stockholm Burlesque Festival - a “Smörgåsbord of Sin”!
Established in 2010 by Duchess Dubois and The Amazing Knicker Kittens, the fourth incarnation of the Stockholm Burlesque Festival will be more extravagant than ever! A fun-filled weekend packed with tease, humor, politics and glamour in this “Venice of the North” and the two historical and beautiful venues: Södra Teatern and Nalen.
We have performers from not less than 13 countries over three continents and in all differents styles, genders, forms and a mix of classic and neo burlesque, queerlesque, boylesque, circus, drag, music, dance and cabaret. The line-up stretches from over the top troupe numbers, to cheeky duos and fantastical solo acts in a colorful whirlwind with Australian superstar and “Fräulein Frauke Presents” favorite Reuben Kaye as our host.
The festival also offers great DJ’s, live music, an international photo exhibition, Pink Ribbon campaign fundraiser - “Octbooberfest”, workshops, red carpet event, delicious weekend offers and launch evening at the famous burlesque bar: Melt
Friday Extravaganza
Our Friday show will be an elegant, sophisticated and luxurious feast for the eye at the beautiful Södra Teatern. A fully seated show in one of Stockholm’s most lavish theatres offering acts from all over the world and a mix of both classic and neo burlesque, boylesque and cabaret.
Södran Bar will be open for mingle 17.00 to 01.00 and from 19.00 - 20.00 a glamourous red carpet event.

Saturday offers a wild party at the gorgeous 1930’s Nalen Ballroom and a showcase of acts from all over the world in a mix of both classic and neo burlesque, boylesque, drag, cabaret and dance. Two dance floors with fantastic DJs as well as a photo exhibition.
The evening starts of with our Cancer research fundraiser gala “Octbooberfest”- the Tassel Twirl Championship where three wonderful winners will be crowned. There will be drama and fun glamour, famous judges, as well as amazing prizes for the audience to win in our Pink Ribbon raffle.

Det roligaste är ju dock Octbooberfesten, för då ska som sagt Nicklas vara med. Här kan du läsa mer om den! Hela meningen med galan är att samla pengar till cancerfonden, och man kan då skicka pengar i ett sms i någon av de tävlandes namn, och den med mest pengar insamlade, får ett pris på scen! Jag ska kolla upp vad numret var dock, vet bara att Nicklas har nummer 7..
